About the Historical Clock and Watch Research web site.

This web site is the reference site for our clock repairing business. It holds any biographical information that we have found about various clock and watch makers. The historical information comes from listings in books and trade directories published, giving dates that clock and watch makers are known to have been working. The information is not necessarily all there is to know about the maker, but it is a digest of all we have found in our researches.  We tend to specialise in British and Irish makers.

The pages are mainly here for us to give extra information to our customers, but anyone can get access to the pages if they feel they may be useful to them. The pages do not go into any model details as a rule, only the general history of the maker (as far as I can trace)
